WOW! 🤩 I absolutely LOVED my time at the hostel! 🫶🏼 Staff + other volunteers were fantastic & they were home away from home! ☕️ Kitchen Shifts + Staff Food & Coffee were brilliant (loved learning how to make things from SCRATCH!) 🌴 Common Areas were beautiful, both outdoor and inside 🚌 Day Tours were unbelievably FUN & a great bonus for volunteers! 💯 HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! I was so sad to leave but definitely want to come back x

I think I'm the only one who didn't asked how to arrive here and spend more money 🙃
This is such a nice place, big, very clean and the hosts are very friendly and extrovert, this is in the center of the city so it's easy to find stores or restaurants, as well as ATM because here is more used cash than card

Emily is obnoxious, talks badly about volunteers to other volunteers & an unprofessional communicator. management constantly watched us through cctv which appeared to pick up sound! it was creepy and bizarre; there were multiple occasions where management clearly knew about private conversations or suddenly introduced new rules that could only have come from listening in. after a racist incident i experienced (externally) & reported to robert, neither emily or erjon checked up on me, but i apparently 'stole' cookies (that emily helped plate up!) that i gave to guests for winning quiz night.

Shkodra replied

Tate, we appreciated your help, but we also had many concerns about your lack of professionalism and discussed these with you. Regarding CCTV, management was not secretly monitoring you; information was shared by other volunteers.
We’re sorry the incident upset you, but we were unaware you expected a follow-up. As you left early, we feel this review does not fairly reflect your time with us. We wish you all the best.

My stay at this hostel in Shkoder was a truly special experience.
From day one, I felt welcomed like family. The project of creating murals inspired by traditional Albanian ornaments and carpet patterns was deeply meaningful for me as an artist. We worked together to bring local culture, history, and handmade symbols onto the walls, creating a bridge between tradition and
contemporary art.The space is full of soul, creativity, and respect for local heritage. The team was open, supportive, and trusted my artistic vision, which made the collaboration smooth and inspiring.
Tanks for all Team!!!
