The Experience

Since the schools in our remote area aren't great, we need someone who helps our team's kids with their school tasks. You would be in charge from 7 to 11am on 5 days per week. Since our team's kids speak mostly Spanish, it's necessary that you speak Spanish, too. But they aso want to learn some English so it's great if you are speaking English also. You will be sharing the volunteer's accomodation with other volunteers.

We had a wonderful time at the hostel! Julie and Stephan were very welcoming and friendly, and the hostel is in such a beautiful location. The work was explained clearly and not too demanding. The cats are a big bonus!!! The beaches are definitely more easily accessible if you have a car, but the nearby waterfalls are very easy to get to and gorgeous. If you're looking to spend a month in nature, it's a great place for it. Will definitely be returning!!

Had an amazing experience volunteering at the hostel. Beautiful jungle atmosphere, great team, and the perfect place to connect with travelers from all over the world. Really appreciated the relaxed vibe and the chance to contribute in different areas of the hostel. Definitely a special place in Costa Rica 🌿

Your hosts, Julie and Stephan, and the entire team at the hostel are amazing people who will welcome you with open arms. The work hours/tasks are more than fair with 5 days on 4 hours, and 2 consecutive days off. A full (really good) local breakfast is provided daily. The hostel is nestled in the rainforest with many waterfalls and animals to enjoy. A quick walk to Uvita centro and you can find everything that you need. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to connect with nature and people. A true example of what a WP exchange should be! Pura Vida 💚
