The Experience

You will have the opportunity to help us promote our events and make our guests feel at home here at Aqua Lounge. My experience at the hostel was amazing! There's usually a total of 4 volunteers which is just enough for the workload. The work is very easygoing and enjoyable. Galen and Martina were amazing and much fun themselves! The room did have AC which was nice, the bathroom is cleaned once a week however I had to go into the hostel and ask for toilet paper for everyone most of the time, and we there is a small kitchen. You get to join the Sunday beach tour which is really fun for everyone and always a great day, Sunday and Monday are the two longest work days, but still not bad. Overall it's great! Thx!

If you're looking for a short stay with a party focused volunteer experience this might be okay for you. However, the accommodation is nothing like what they show. The volunteer room that they show is the men's room. The room designated for the women volunteering there is in pretty bad shape. The shared bathroom is hazardous with black mold covering half of the room. They did eventually clean it but with bleach. Overall, I do not think this is suitable for any person. When I told them I would be leaving early, they offered me a guest room, but they have no intentions to fix the rooms.

The job itself is really fun, it’s just interacting with guests and making sure they are enjoying their time. The host Galen was a great guy. I enjoyed my fellow volunteers a lot. However the accommodation we were put in to start was unlivable. The volunteer dorm and bathroom was just gross. After further discussion with the host we were moved to a much better room. I think this place is fun and worth volunteering at.

The hostel is a huge family made up of all its wonderful staff, and I couldn't be happier to have decided to volunteer there. The tasks are super easy and fun, and the schedule is quite short. For me, it has been a place I felt like it was my home. I have felt super cared for and attended to, and yes, the place is beautiful, but what really makes you fall in love is all the people you meet there. I wholeheartedly recommend this volunteering! The volunteer coordinator, Martina, is an incredible person you can communicate any situation to and she will be there for you <3

My experience at the hostel longue has been wonderful, it's a super nice place, with the possibility of doing many activities, such as surfing, diving, snorkeling, paddle surfing, as well as seeing many beautiful beaches. The amount of work in volunteering is very low and simple. Having plenty of free time to be able to enjoy the place. The hostel's facilities are good; in the volunteers' house you share rooms with 3-4 people and cook with the other guys, the kitchen isn't the best but it remains functional. The island offers quite a bit of nightlife. The g
