I stayed 5 weeks in the hostel and I had a great time there. I was very well received by the staff team, everyone was really nice and the atmosphere was warm and caring. The guesthouse is just lovely and cosy with tatami, futon, shoji, kotatsu and daily the hostel. I feel very lucky to have been able to live there for a while, it was exactly what I was looking for. The work was as I expected, the instructions were clear and everyone helped each other during the busy days. Ito is a quiet and charming town and there are some very nice places to visit nearby. I highly recommend this place!

Really great 2 months volunteering at the hostel. The staff are all brilliant and really helpful at showing you the ropes. The hours are always respected and the work is never difficult. The town is really chill, lots to do if you look for it. I would recommend volunteering here to everyone

Beautiful place and beautiful people. The ryokan is on the shore of the Matsukawa River, filled with carp, ducks, and herons. Ito is surrounded by the sea and lush hills. You can see a lot of cultural and traditional sites and temples, and you can try many traditional foods you won't easily find in the big cities. The locals are so friendly, and the nightlife is varied and lively almost every day of the week. The staff at the hostel is not only kind and supportive, but also made up of good people. I miss you guys. I hope things are going well for you all :')

I had an amazing time in the hostel! Yukio is super friendly and always there to help out and talk with. The work is thorough but exactly what you expect. The staff are friendly, and we occasionally went to the local bar which was great to talk to other foreigners and locals. The hostel is in a great location to see the izu peninsula. I regularly went snorkelling with the equipment Yukio gave me. Also some great spots for some surfing. The helpers also competed in the boat race festival. Which was amazing! However it is really warm to clean! But I definitely recommend!! Thank you Yukio!

My time in the hostel was the most pleasant experience I could ever ask for. Working hours are respected and scheduled in advanced, not to mention the hostel is absolutely beautiful. The team was also such a dream to work with, everyone was so kind and hardworking.
