I had such an incredible time volunteering at the hostel. I can't believe how quickly 4 weeks flew by. Rene runs an amazing team and creates a great environment at the hostel. There were many volunteers and we created unforgettable bonds that I will deeply miss. The environment is very chill and relaxed and the shifts at the bar and reception are not difficult. I practiced a ton of Spanish while at the hostel and even took classes with Erika at the hostel. This was a great experience and I definitely recommend!

the workers and volunteers here are so sweet which truely makes the experience so amazing. they will never ask for extra work from you, they always make sure itโs a fair exchange. thereโs activities everyday so that makes it fun when youโre there long term. the onlyyy thing is there isnโt too much to do in oaxaca, but you can take weekend trips to mazunte, puerto escondido, san jose del pacรญfico or other cities so you get multiple trips in one. definitely recommend๐ซถ

Volunteering in Ticuchi felt like home. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and kind-hearted. My work at the reception was easy, and I also got the chance to meet international travelers. I enjoyed practicing Spanish and immersing myself in the local culture. I will never forget this volunteering journey at Ticuchi.โจ๐ฅฐ
