The Bauhaus Hostel & Bar
Situated in a complex of six UNESCO World Heritage listed Brugean step-gable houses and surrounded by Bruges´ historical centre, The Bauhaus offers the best party atmosphere and beer selection of any Bruges hostel. With walking tours, bike tours and Belgian beer tastings on-site every day, there's always a great experience waiting for you in the bar - try some of our 60+ high quality Belgian beers and chat to our friendly international staff for some sightseeing recommendations and local tips!
We have a strong focus on atmosphere, fun and a positive work attitude. All of our staff love what they do and have fun doing it!
The hostel has a range of dorm sizes (4x 6x 8x 10x 12x 16x beds) and private rooms to suit all guest requirements.

The Bauhaus has a mixed staff of international and local people, something that brings a unique atmosphere to both the bar and hostel. We are a team who loves to have fun and always make an effort to ensure all of the staff get involved in the party.

My stay and volunteering experience at Bauhaus were enriching! During this period, I had the opportunity to make my mark with a mural painting, sharing my art with the place and people from all over the world! I also worked at the bar, which I find very interesting for mingling with people and making friends. In short, this experience at Bauhaus not only allowed me to contribute with my art but also provided me with a unique and enriching experience that I will carry with me forever. ❤️

My stay at Bauhaus was an incredible experience! The staff and the other volunteers are kind and friendly people. I will cherish the best memories of Bruges. If you want to meet local people and other volunteers from around the world in a party atmosphere, you definitely have to choose Bauhaus.

Volunteering at Bauhaus for 4+ weeks has been one of my best decisions, simply put. I had so much fun working at the bar and exploring Bruges and nearby cities in my free time. I met amazing people that I’m lucky to call friends now (very much looking forward to our reunion 🐔 ) and really had the time of my life. Some nights can get pretty hectic at the bar, especially karaoke night, but they were the ones I enjoyed the most! I’m grateful for this being my first volunteer experience, I left a piece of my heart in Bauhaus and I can’t wait to be back ❤️

the experience was pretty great, the atmosphere couldn´t be better, every day we had fun and everything we needed to be comfortable during the day, the team that was working around us was always very nice and they had an enjoyable time, I didn't like that my task as a photographer wasn´t too clear because I expected more direction on it, also the room needed more light and ventilation, i will recommend this experience
