Hostel Home
The first hostel in Mexico City! It is located in a small old house, typically mexican, on a quiet street. It is not a party hostel but rather hosts serious backpackers with usually amazing traveling plans. We are looking for responsible travelers with an open mind, a strong work ethic and that can work as part of a team.
We give preference to travelers who speak Spanish and English since this makes it easier for guests as well as for volunteers to communicate. We would also appreciate volunteers who enjoy cooking and sharing time with guests (visiting the city, going out, exchanging travel plans, etc.). There is zero tolerance for any type of drugs, sex in the hostel, or heavy drinking. We are looking for volunteers who can stay a minimum of 4 weeks. In exchange for working 4 shifts per week (morning, evening, or late check-in) we offer volunteers a bed in one of our dorms, laundry and basic groceries every week.

Hostel Home fue como un segundo hogar y familia para mi, todo se siente tan cálido y hogareño que a ratos ni siquiera parecería que estas trabajando por estadía sino que realmente estas en tu propia casa, el staff es un amor completo y siempre son muy unidos con sus voluntarios y entre si, y los huéspedes en su mayoría que llegan siempre son personas con conocimientos y experiencias increíbles dispuestos a compartir contigo. Los extraño bastante, ya quisiera tener la oportunidad de volver! <3

Fue una experiencia inolvidable, de hecho fue mi primer voluntariado y estoy segura de que cambió muchas cosas de mi vida para bien. Las personas que conocí realmente fueron cruciales en mi experiencia y estoy segura de que las llevo por siempre en mi corazón. El trabajo se vuelve muy ligero mientras vas conociendo a cada persona y te vas amañando. Amé México y su gente! ♥️

Yin and Ayleen made me feel immediately welcome and made sure I was set up with everything I needed. There are regular community dinners which is a great opportunity to further connect with everyone. The hostel itself is FULL of charm and truly one of a kind, the location is also as good as you could ask for. I'm already planning for when I can next come back!

I had an amazing time volunteering here! The location is perfect for being able to go into the center of the city, and also for exploring the more lowkey parts of the city. All the staff and other volunteers there were also incredibly friendly and easy to get along with. I would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone looking to volunteer in Mexico City!

El hostel es pequeño a comparación de otros, lo cual contribuye a un ambiente más íntimo y relaciones interpersonales más cercanas con los huéspedes y demás voluntarios. El Staff de planta es muy proactivo y flexible, escuchando las peticiones y sugerencias de los voluntarios, así como tomando en cuenta sus otros intereses y responsabilidades. Verdaderamente hice muy buenos amigos durante mi estancia, que espero mantener después de mi regreso a mi ciudad. El hostel está muy bien ubicado en Roma Norte, cerca de supermercados, estaciones de metro, galerías de arte, parques y áreas verdes, etc.
