This volunteer is great I loved the job I did and the people, I chose the 25hrs per week and it was enough, its hard work in all areas, I was in kitchen and it would get super busy for dinner, all the host would come almost at the same hour to eat and we would only have about and hour to cook/clean and we would end up working a few more minutes/hours. the dorms were cozy enough and all the nature at the hotel is so pretty. when I left it felt like a was leaving home to go home. I would recommend this volunteering to everyone, It is home.

I enjoyed living around the lake. The hostel is up in the mountain and it's in a very beautiful location with much nature. I did agree to do 25 hours of social media for the job but when I got there, it was a lot more strenuous work then I imagined. It was 3 months worth of content for FB + IG including posts, reels, stories, hashtags, captions etc. in 3 weeks worth of working there. I just felt a bit overwhelmed and I wished I had chosen an easier job. I did learn a lot about social media during the stay, but I wouldn't do it again. Also 50% of the time the vegetarian meals had no protein

The lodge is a great place to stay! The staff is super friendly and the town San Juan is charming and safe. The meals are amazing and the dorms are quite comfortable. If you get the chance, definitely stay here!

Working in the lodge was a good overall experience for me, a place where people can come and chill. There are various tasks where you can help, should it be gardening, building, teaching, cooking, or any other thing! The place has a good vibe and the people working there too, would recommend! (And if you know how to cook, it's definitely a good point)
