During my stay I got to contribute towards the school's construction project which was building a new classroom. Interacting with the students and local village was an eye opening experience and I felt that I was truly immersed in the Nepalese culture. Shamser was kind enough to host the volunteers at his home for Dashain festival aswell which was a great experience. I was able to go on a shopping trip with Shamser to buy new supplies for the school with money I raised. It was great that I could see first hand the impact the donations from my family and friends had on the school.

I only stayed at the school for a week and didn't get to teach the kids due to exams, but I still enjoyed every single day. There was always something to do and the environment is amazing:)

I have been in a New Marigold Boarding School for 25 days and it was great experience! There are a lot of tasks to do: teaching (math, english, informatics, science), playing with kids (volleyball, football, handcrafting, etc), building, painting, helping in the kitchen. One can try everything and choose what suits the most. The kids are amazing. Every morning they come to school smiling and you see that they are happy to come there. This is the most important. The host, Shamser, is great inspiring person. He always searches the way to improve and he really loves his job. Thank you!

Our stay in New Marigold was amazing and we recommend to everyone. You get to spend time with lovely children and amazing people from all over the world. Also you can choose the task you prefer the most. Shamser told us many interesting things and his work is very inspiring. Would love to stay longer and hopefully there will be a chance to come again!
