We are looking for volunteers who can support this family business, from reception, cleaning. Since we are a small lodge, we do not have a lot of staff, but we do have a lot of willingness to grow and learn.

I will really miss this place and i really really enjoyed my time here. Alex (the owner) is one of the coolest people i have ever met in my life and he is really funny and always there for you to help you. wendy, keyrin and noeli (the staff) are very sweet, pretty and patient and will help you with anything you need. i learned here so much spanish really quick. the hostel is really nice and clean, has it's own gym and there are lots of cool games you can play with other travellers. the tasks were easy and reasonable. i really hope i will meet them all again in this life. thank you so much.

I had an amazing time volunteering here! The hostel is super clean and the tasks are really simple: just keeping common areas, bathrooms, and the kitchen tidy, and folding clean sheets. You're always well supported by the staff, Wendy and Kimberley, were always very friendly and kind in explaining my shifts. A huge thanks to the host, Alex! He's incredibly friendly and always helpful with schedule changes or any needs. It was great hanging out, sharing a dinner or a beer together :) I felt right at home. Highly recommended, Pura Vida! 🇨🇷

This was a great volunteer experience for me! I originally read the reviews advising to know some Spanish before coming, and I would definitely recommend that to others looking to volunteer here. You are within walking distance to the town center and the discounts on hikes and tours are helpful for affordability. Alex was a great host that took the time to help me learn some Spanish and learn more about what Fortuna has to offer. The cleaning was straightforward and the tasks were listed out specifically. My girlfriend and I both did this experience together. Can't wait to visit in the again
