The Experience
We are looking for volunteers who can support in: *Maintaining the cleanliness of common areas *Change of bed linen in dormitories *Help in laundry In shifts from 5pm to 10pm or 7am to 12pm (Could be rotating schedule).

I absolutely loved the two weeks i spent here!!! the whole team is so welcoming, i truly felt at home here and although i barely speak any spanish, we managed to understand each other with google translate or gestures (would recommend to understand a few words though). i really liked that the tasks were clear, so i knew what to clean during my work and what had to be done. i could always take a break to eat or chat with other travelers and had great conversations while being here. biggest shoutout to francheska, keiryn, sandra and alex, couldnt have asked for better hosts and co-workers!

My experience at the hostel was wonderful. Alex and the other staff were so patient and helpful with anything we needed! The work was extremely reasonable and the other volunteers and staff made it easy and pleasurable to do. We had a couple days off a week, and were able to explore the nearby rivers and hot springs as well as enjoy the charm of La Fortuna! We will miss everyone there, special shoutout to Nala Patricia!!

Definitely recommend knowing Spanish pretty well before coming here!! Alex is very kind and the place was very safe and clean. I got sick while there and Alex was quick to get me medicine which was very nice!

I highly recommend volunteering at La Fortuna in the hostel. I only have positive things to mention about Mr. Alex and his team, as he was always very respectful, helpful and kind. In addition, he always respected work schedules. The hostel is super clean, tidy, and the patio is super beautiful as the hostel River flows by and you can hear the water falling and connect with nature.
