The Experience

Hello! My name is Joao and I own a Hostel in Porto, Portugal. We are always looking to host dynamic, responsible people who want to help out in exchange for their stay. Knowledge of English is crucial, knowledge of Portuguese is a big Plus! Spanish also good. Work includes: performing check-ins, general cleaning duties, taking care of Greta (our mascot dog) and helping out guests with local tips, etc.

The experience in the hostel couldn't be better, the vibe in this place is amazing! João, Marta and the other volunteers are incredibly nice, I felt at home all the time. The work schedule is very flexible and gives time to explore the city and surroundings, to meet people and enjoy the beautiful Porto. I feel very lucky to have found this place. Minha experiência no hostel foi maravilhosa. João foi compreensível com minhas datas, as atividades eram super tranquilas. A equipe de staff que esteve cmg foi incrível, as meninas me deixaram a vontade, a amizade fluiu fácil e a convivência foi muito massa. O hostel é confortável, bem equipado e bem localizado. As atividades são de manutenção da limpeza, arrumação de camas, check in e passeio com a Greta, o pet mais dócil do mundo. A Marta é a funcionária fixa, além de ser um amor de pessoa tmb nos ajuda no que puder. Com ctz voltarei em breve e super recomendo! Brigada, amei tudo e todos ❤️

Eu adorei meus dois meses no the hostel, a casa é confortável e tem tudo que precisamos para viver longos períodos, as atividades foram ensinadas cordialmente pelo staff que foram pessoas muito queridas, a escala de trabalho é combinada em conjunto com o time de voluntários, o que funcionou bem para mim. Recomendo a experiência :)

Me fui antes ya que hubo una situacion digna de solucionar pero poca flexibilidad para encontrar una solucion y la rta solo fue q si yo queria me iba antes pero no iba a haber ningun cambio. me parece una hermosa experiencia y lugar pero depende de con quien te toque voluntariar y las situaciones que sucedan en el medio. Senti que no hubo tanto cuidado hacia los acontecimientos inesperados que podian ocurrir con los voluntarios
