I had a very negative experience with this host. During my stay, I went to the reception at night to check for a charger, and the host saw me on the security camera and unjustly assumed I was trying to steal something. She called the police and kicked me out of the hostel, which was an extreme and unwarranted reaction. Additionally, several other volunteers mentioned her erratic behavior and lack of respect for volunteers, indicating that this is a recurring issue. The environment she creates is hostile and uncomfortable.

The reason wasn’t that I asked you to leave the hostel, you know very well, it was because you brought in a stranger after hours, namely in the early morning, making noise, the TV on loud, taking that guy to the room with the guests, taking the guy to have coffee that is for the volunteers and the guests, drinking inside the room, causing a mess in the house, and when I arrived the sink was full of your dishes, blankets on the sofa, your shoes scattered around the house, the room reeking of alcohol. And all of this in one night, and you were only with us for four days and hadn’t done any shift yet, total disrespect to me who opened the doors to receive you. And by the way everyone was complaining, I even received a call from the volunteers themselves. In any case I had even decided not to rate you...

From day one, you are part of a family that became a family when they arrived. Great, fun ambient. The neighborhood is really quite and central, easy to reach the metro and Av. Paulista. I strongly recommend the hostel and would be happy to return one day :)

My experience at the hostel was very good! Tiago is a friendly host, open to chatting and helping you whenever he can. There is flexibility to choose schedules and days off, and that is very good. The other volunteers were very kind, good teammates and friends. The hostel is very nice, spacious, comfortable and very clean. The tasks are simple and do not require heavy work for anything. I highly recommend volunteering at the hostel!
