This was a great experience! The whole team is so lovely to work with and the hotel is beautiful. Work and hours is fair and you have time to go surfing or hang out in town or relax by the pool.

I loved Playa Gigante and the opportunity it gives you to truly connect with locals and travelers. I had a lot of fun surfing and I can recommend Playa Amarillo and its community to anyone who wants to learn how to surf. The hotel staff always respects working hours and tasks. Keep in mind the vibe is always chill at the hotel, even to the point where you can stay for hours without doing anything, even if you find ways to help. Sadly, in Gigante as a woman, I didn't feel 100% comfortable. NEVER did I feel physically in danger, but some comments and looks from locals were disrespectful.
