The Experience

Bubu's farm is a project that deals with sustainable agriculture , craftmanship and education. We have a beautiful house on Franciacorta hills, it is surrounded by fruit plants and has a water spring nearby. I would need a volunteer that is ready to take care of the home and the land nearby. In the farm there Is internet basic but there Is not wifi.

Staying on the farm was an unforgettable experience. I felt incredibly welcomed by Elena and our work agreement was very fair. My only regret was not learning more italian before coming to the farm. The language barrier sometimes made it a bit hard to communicate.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

From my first contact with host Elena, I realized she was a friendly person, and this was confirmed when she greeted me with a warm hug. She asked about what I wanted to do at the host and wanted for suggestions for farm projects. Those were days of hard work in intense heat. I learned about farm life and always gave my best in the activities I did there. Some things weren't as I expected, so I talked a lot with Elena, we understood each other, and it was really good.

I've been to the host 3 times already, and still this wasn't my last time here.. Elena welcomed me with warmth, i felt like I belonged there! She is a really strong, empathetic, kind, open minded woman. She introduced me to her friends, the neighbours and to a community. She is full of ideas, and is open to welcome new ideas as well. I learned a lot from her and these weeks we exchanged knowledge and experiences. This project is full of positive energy and life!

My experience at the host was amazing. Elena welcomed me like family, and I felt safe, respected, and appreciated during my whole stay. The work was fair and meaningful, and I learned a lot about farm life and community. I leave with beautiful memories and a grateful heart. Highly recommend!
